MPHA provides a wide variety of housing programs and services to support its mission “to promote and deliver quality, well-managed homes to a diverse low income population, and, as a valued partner, to contribute to the well-being of the individuals, families and community we serve.”
MPHA manages and maintains nearly 6,000 public housing rental units, including apartment buildings, single family homes, townhomes, and senior apartment complexes. MPHA’s public housing programs provide a variety of services and amenities to residents. These programs are featured on the Residents page.
The HCV Section 8 program provides rent subsidies to low-income families in the form of Housing Choice Vouchers and Project Based Units. MPHA pays rent subsidies directly to rental property owners on behalf of eligible families.
